Think Spring!

Tulip sketch by Barbara Weeks

And Sketch!

This coming Sunday our theme is

Spring

Hosted by Alex Zonis and Urban Sketchers Chicago

Details:

We can sketch views from our windows: new leaves and flowers, change in the color of light, Lake is turning turquoise and has kayakers on the water. If you are lucky to have a yard, there is a lot of spring happening there. Sketching in parks, by our lonesome selves and socially distancing, has a ton of spring subjects.

Sunday is also Mother's Day we can turn in that direction. Sketch our mothers and grandmothers. Sketch their memorabilia. If you are a mother, sketch what it takes being a mother during lockdown. Or sketch your children, dirty dishes or unfolded laundry -all are excellent sketches.

As before, the event will run from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Posting officially is from 2:45 - 3:00 p.m. but we often start early and also spend more time together beyond 3:00!
Please post your sketches to our Facebook group
at 2:45-3:00 p.m.
Please include #USkAtHome and #USkChicago
so we can all find them!

See you Sunday!
